In my spare time…

I’m in the process of illustrating a long poem by Anna Robinson for her chapbook “The Night Library”. I’ve been doing some preliminary drawings taking the poem as a starting point; a quiet, strange, almost surreal, place built of books and their keepers. Here’s my first drawing, well a drawing of a drawing, in that I drew the figure, then put him into the book later. I’m working in B&W to keep things simple, the images will probably end up quite small in the book.
