For almost fifteen years, Brittle Star has published poetry and short fiction from new and early-career writers, many of whom have seen their work in print for the first time. Brittle Star is a not-for-profit magazine published twice a year in the UK.

In Autumn 2013, Silbercow re-designed Brittle Star magazine, its logo, stationery and related materials. The editors wanted a more serious-looking, book-like journal, and so Brittle Star is now the size of a pocket book, and has increased its pages from 48 to 84. Silbercow provided the cover artwork, illustrations of writers and the feature images for all of the stories and articles.
